Methodology
- Differences in the backed up data are kept by versioning.
- Instead of an incremantal backup, which deletes the previous copies of the files in each backup operation, it keeps the original backup and additionally saves the new version separately.
- The original backup is updated again every time a backup is made.
Thus, in case of a ransomware attack, you can rollback to the version of the time you want.
For example;
You can keep 10, 20 or even 50 retrospective versions of an office document you work on FileServer.
Apart from the office document, you can keep any .zip or backup or database file 10,20 or even 50 versions backwards.
TaliaUndo can return any of these versions to you at any time, regardless of the original data.
The SuperDirectory directory cannot be accessed by anyone other than TaliaUndo.
